At High Risk for Severe COVID-19?
If you have a weakened immune system, are 75 or older, or have health conditions that put you at risk for severe COVID-19, and you are unable or unwilling to take certain antiviral treatments like Paxlovid, you may qualify for a research study. You may be able to apply even if you do not currently have COVID-19.
Key Qualifications
You may be a good fit if:
You are 18 years of age or older
You are at high risk for severe COVID-19 (see qualifying conditions below)
You are unable or unwilling to take nirmatrelvir/ritonavir (Paxlovid) for any reason, including drug interactions, liver concerns, or personal preference
You are able to attend study visits at our clinic in Boise, ID
Participants for this study must have 1 or more health conditions that may increase risk for severe COVID-19. Examples of qualifying conditions include:
Weakened immune system (immunocompromised)
Age 75 or older
Diabetes
Obesity (BMI of 35 or higher)
Chronic lung disease
A neurocognitive or physical disability that limits daily activity
Three or more other health conditions that increase risk for severe illness
You only need 1 condition from the list to apply. You may still apply if multiple conditions apply to you.
